The Canadian Search and Disaster Dog Association held a meting and training session if Fairview this past weekend for anyone who thought they might like to see if their dog had what it takes to be a search and rescue dog as well as to see if there is enough interest to form a chapter of CASDDA here in Fairview.

Ada man matched with leader dog shares his experience of losing his vision
Ada residents are getting used to a new dog in town. Greg Wehby, 49, who lost his vision two years ago, was recently matched with a leader dog and since his return from training, has been showing his independent mobility around the village.

Uggie the Dog: Is “The Artist” Star the Biggest 2012 Oscar's Snub? [PHOTOS]
Uggie the dog, the nine-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, will accompany his co-stars of the Oscar nominated film, "The Artist," to the 2012 Academy Awards. Although the film has been nominated for ten awards, including "Best Picture" and "Actor in a Leading Role," Uggie the dog was not nominated for an award. Some critics believe the skilled pup was snubbed.
